Opening webpage searches in new tab

Currently, it seems to be a general key combo to use `Shift + Enter` within a search bar to open those results in a new window. However, I cannot seem to find any way to do this with a new tab. I found some old support articles about changing `browser.search.openintab` in `about:config`, but that seems to be on the browser level, not on a webpage level.

Does this functionality exist, or is this my white whale?

You can use Alt+Enter to open a link in the location bar in a new tab, but there is no such thing for a search bar on a webpage unless the website support this like Google has on its settings page (you need to divert the new window to a new tab).
