I shut my windows computer down every night. When I start it the next day I have to do at least one "restart" or a hard restart to be able to open any of my email accounts.
What in the seven hells am I doing wrong???

Firefox is just a Browser so no sure what email service your talking about here.
try updating your windows latest update or update your software like NVidia software or amd software
