My sync data lost
Hi,
So I had to reset my PC last week , and hoped that the sync was running as expected to recover my bookmark and saved websites data , and no luck !
how can I get back my data !!! , I read all across the fourm and I haven't seen any direct answer to this sync issue!! can you please help in this!

Best case scenario you could use the sync to restore settings however one should not rely on it as a backup option vs making a copy of your Profile(s) before the reset.

Sync only runs when your logged in firefox account only and if those others are logged out then any sync is gone when you log in since the original has nothing to sync thus they are reset as well.
Sync connects to sync server and not device to device.
You can install the About Sync extension in Firefox 72 and newer on desktop to check what data is stored on the Sync server via the about:sync page provided by this extension.
Close and restart Firefox to access the about:sync page added by this extension (see the about:about page for possible about pages).
