Hi, that setting should be used in these two cases: (1) The type of content you are downloading has "Save File" as its instruction in the Applications List, Firefox should open a Window File Explorer dialog (2) When Firefox presents the download dialog ("Open with [relevant application]" or "Save File") you selected Save File, Firefox should open a Window File Explorer dialog Are those working as expected? ---- In other cases, for example, when Firefox is opening a file automatically, it doesn't ask you where to save. You do have ''some'' control over that. ''Here are the details:'' Firefox 98 changed from saving downloads in the Windows Temp folder for "Open with [relevant application]" or "Use [relevant application]" to saving them in your default downloads folder (the one next to "Save files to" on the Settings page).
