Hi Everyone,

I have seen another posts like this but the solution of them are not working for me.

The thing is that I'm not able to enter any Google features: Gmail, Drive, Keep, Maps, etc. on my Mozilla Firefox 89.0.2 (64-bit). Windows 10.

Let me explain the whole process:

All began when, out of nowhere, it started to give me TLS incompatibility errors. After a lot of working around (uninstalling, cleaning cache, history, cookies, troubleshooting/resetting), know I'm able to type my account and login to google, but when I click any icon (gmail, drive, keep, etc) the browser do nothing. It just stay there.

If I try to login on Yahoo email, I get this message: "To protect your security, www.google.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window." and when I hit "open in new window", the new windows opens in blank.

I'm able to use any Google products on a Private Windows (ctrl+shift+p). Also on M. Edge. iexplorer and Chrome.

What I have done:

  • Uninstall Mozilla Firefox
  • Deleting all remaining files and registries
  • install mozilla firefox fresh downloaded
  • Refreshing Firefox on troubleshoot mode
  • Restarting windows obviously, many times
  • Uninstall firefox completely and installing an older version (88). Did not worked.
  • Upgrading from 88 to 89.0.2
  • Verifying and disabling plugins (all versions)
  • Uninstalled Chrome, then Firefox, then reinstalling Firefox after a windows restart.
  • Uninstall Mozilla Firefox, restarting PC, reinstalled Firefox, all under Windows Safe Mode.
  • All of the above using a new windows administrator account.
  • All of the above using a domain administrator account.

I'm almost throwing the towel and using another browser and I don't want it. I have been using firefox since the beginning of times... home, office, everywhere.

Please help!

Regards,

try creating a blank virgin profile, then test drive it to those links.

type the below into url field then press go.

on the profile management page, there is a "create new" button near the top left quandrant.

the new profile should launch as a separate browser. but if not, it will shoe up on the profile management page with a button to launch it.

It looks that some other page is trying to embed these Google pages.

You can do a malware scan just to be sure.

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

Hi Cor-el,

It is not caused by malware. The proxy has nothing to do with the problem either.

Thanks for your response.

Hi,

I did that and it did not worked.

After typing my password it goes to "Something went wrong" message (See image attached). When I hit "next", it goes back to sing in page, I put my username then the password and it stays "thinking" for a couple of minutes, ask for the password again, then I got "Secure Connection Failed" message asking for enabling TLS 1.0 and 1.1. If I enable it, it does nothing. Closed the browser, try again and stays "thinking", or loading, after entering the email before the password. I closed it again, then shows another "Secure Connection Failed" message, I hit the button "restore default settings" and goes back to the login page. Aaaaand the loop start.

See attached images of the error I got.

Keep in mind that if I do it on a private windows, nothing fail.

It looks like you have new information.

ok, so here are the following knowns:

1) You dont have any issues in Windows Safe Mode 2) You dont have any issues in FF Private Mode 3) You dont have these issues with other browsers.

If the above are true, then next test Windows Clean Mode

Open Win Task Mgr, ctrl alt del, and in Start Up Tab temporarily disable all that is enable. Reboot and retry the issue via a new profile. (i usually end making a dozen new profiles to find answers. Then delete them all later).

Did you try to select "No Proxy" like I suggested above ?
