Hi all,

After a long hiatus of no firefox problems I am now experiencing an issue of script embedded in on-line pictures on some websites; doing a reload with a different browser i.e to internet explorer solves the issue. I am sure that firefox is the problem, but I have done the obvious, disabling any tracker/adblocks without any success. Any clues ?

Thanks for replies......Starting FF in safe mode solves the issue on the spot but when notebook is restarted, the issue reappears. Cleaned out cache and cookie/extensions disabled. A picture of the "one and was famous".

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or it could be Hardware Acceleration. How to disable Hardware Acceleration {web link}

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Disable a few add-ons, then Restart Firefox.

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All Of them.

If the problem continues, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue until the problem is gone. After, you know what group is causing the issue. Re-enable the last group ONE AT A TIME (restarting FF) until the problem returns.

Once you think you found the problem, disable that and re-enable all the others, then restart again. Let us know who the suspect is, detective.

All right ! Found the issue. Running the program compatibility troubleshooter issue, to do with text size resolution and display. My eyesight isn´t how it was at 25 yrs age....now retired, the issue with screens and resolution gets tiring and precarious with concentration and set ups get dicy. ->FFox icon on screen: run on right mouse click. ->Troubleshoot capability: select Troubleshoot program box "opens but don´t display correctly": ->What display program doesn´t display on large font -> Scaling on large DPI fonts ->Test program compatibility settings applied. Cold reset and check problem site.
