Firefox updated on my mac. It lost everything in its history for the last 15 months. There was no old firefox settings file and everytime I open it there is no history. No saved sites, so saved passwords, nothing. How do I go back to what I had?
Question is above.

Hello,
Sorry to hear about that. First, Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be helpful if your bookmarks are lost or missing.
- Click the Bookmarks button (or Menu > Bookmarks) and select Show All Bookmarks.
- At the top of the Library window, click on Import and Backup and select Restore.
- Click the date of the bookmark backup you want to recover.
- In the new window that appears, click OK.
- Your bookmarks from the selected date should now be restored.
For more information, see the Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer article. For other solutions, see the Recover lost or missing Bookmarks article.

I never said anything about bookmarks. My entire history disappeared. I work online and visit many site to do so. EVERYTHING is gone. There is no back up file as there has been in the past and every time I open firefox I have to relog into everything manually.
Im using google now and I really like FF better, but this last update really sucked.
Sorry for Inconvenience, You can submit feature requests at:

And there are also contact links here:
If you lost personal data then it is possible that a new default-release profile folder has been created. See "Determine if Firefox has created a new profile":
You can open the about:profiles page via the location bar to check whether multiple profiles are present and what profile Firefox currently is using.
- Do NOT click any Remove button on this page.

If you use the Time Machine or other backup then try to restore file(s) from this backup.
Also make sure you install Firefox properly and that you do not run Firefox from the Disk Image (dmg) file.
Open the Firefox Disk Images file and drag the Firefox application to the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the Disk Images, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.
