I also renamed a folder (in my case a sub-folder) from lower to all upper case and it disappeared. Unfortunately it contains important information, fortunately I have a backup profile. However, when replacing the current profile with the backup, TB proudly tells me on the status bar that it deleted the folder I'm trying to restore! Please help!

Well, in the meanwhile I tried several options - with no success.

I can bring the backup profile on-line. But the moment TB connencts to the IMAP server, the subfolder is deleted. If I disconnect from the Internet and bring the backup profile on-line, I can see the folder I renamed. I can even go through the messages. I tried to move the messages back to the inbox while off-line and then to connect to the IMAP server, but then the subfolder is deleted. I tried to restore the folder from the backup using the ImportExportTool add-on, but there seems to be no option for my input files as the folder I'm trying to restore is in 2 files (one without extension and one .msf).

Is it really so easy to destroy a good tool by renaming a folder to all caps? And how can one use backups when the user makes a mistake, if when bringing the backup on-line, the user mistake is restored?

Please help.
