I can be on any website even secure sites i.e.banking and credit card sites .. When I start to enter data in to a field I am suddenly redirected to a myriad of different pages . Usually asking for login information or asking me to take a survey . some of these pages try to appear to be related to the site I was working on but I know they are not... Ie. on my banking website the login fields have a normaly have a blue border around them that are highlighted to indicate when the cursor is in them ready to receive data... As soon as this happens I get a redirect.. It happens on other sites as well but I noticed it happening a lot on my banking website.. So I called the bank and advised them of the problem , thinking that the problem was with their site.. they checked and assured me that the problem was not on their site.. So my next step was to try another browser.. (Chrome) the problem was GONE>>.. So I conclude d there must be some malware in my firefox browser.... I installed Malwarebytes to supposedly clean up fire fox.. It did not help.. thanks for any help offered..

First, let's make sure your system is clean.

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad / pop-up blocker.

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.
