Login username Blank (Password saved)
Loss of Username entry whilst password is still saved/stored and auto fills
Open frequently visited login page Only the password auto fills
Searching the Securities Entry will bring up a single entry, where the username is blank. Previously both have been saved
This seems to be a random occurrence, and I cannot detect any common thread or cause. May happen multiple times with a given site or once, or never at all
Couple of times I have found a double entry, where one has the username, and the other the password... (easily fixed, edit one, delete the other). So that is Not the issue.
It is worse than dropping the password, as this can often be remembered or just reset However if you do not have your login Name then some sites will not allow you to even reset (idiotically not gving email address as an option)
Across mulitple versions, notably all of 50 series Mostly run portable versions, and have two running side by side

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Hi Fred, Yes, as in as much as there are missing Usernames in the Saved Logins List. But that is hardly surprising.
Fault chasing with this is not easy, the fault is random, and would require much time in removing and then resetting site logins, in order to catch the bug happening live

Always an option. Was hoping someone had run into it and solved Kind of think the fewer Addons, the less drag, the better
Run TabMix and Session manager is all
Note that you can double-click either name or password field to edit its value or use the right-click context menu.
Thanks cor-el Did that already But it does Not cure what creates the losses unfortunately Also requires that you remember the information to propagate the empty boxes
