Is there a quick way to go to a specific folder in a list of large alphabetically arranged sub-folders?

I have a few email folders in Thunderbird with each having 150 - 500 sub-folders (i.e. names). The sub-folder are arranged alphabetically. If I want to go to a specific folder, I need to scroll down the list to find it. Scrolling up and down a list of a few hundreds names, and doing it frequently, is quite tedious. Is there a way to "jump" to the desired folder (like by typing the first letter of the folder's name)?

I think you would be well served thinking of a better filing system. There is no jump to option I am aware of.
