How do I edit the body of an email in my inbox?
How do I edit the body of an email? I need to be able to edit received email subjects and add comments in the body of an email for future reference and for easier uniform search terms. With MS Outlook you just click Edit, and can copy-paste and even type directly into the message and then save it to the same inbox folder. But I can't figure out how to do this in Thunderbird. I was able to use a add-on to edit the Subject of received messages, but need to also edit parts of the body of the received email. Is there another add-on to edit the body? I would love to see this capability in future Thunderbird updates. Thank you!

Thank you amanchesterman for your time! I did initially see this on my quest for an answer. But just reading the description for "HeaderToolsLite" seems just way over the top, with editing source codes and whatnot :( But I also ran into problem of opening that download file (*.xpi). It seems I need another program to execute it.
I was hoping for something simple as the "EditEmailSubject" add-on. Better yet, if Mozilla updates Thunderbird, hoping to see this capability in future releases. I'm still trying to find a better option to Outlook so I can migrate out of MS... Found LibreOffice suite, but no good choices for Outlook replacement so far... :(
Thanks again for your effort and time!
On another note, I wonder how everyone else organizes their received emails... Such as, email with email body text mentioning "Project xya" when it should be spelled "Project xyz". And you want to come back to that a year from now and all you remember is the actual project name "xyz" but you can't find it because you can't remember the misspelled project name the unknown sender used.
So it would be very helpful if you can correct the received emails and add comments and notes into the body of the email for future clarification to yourself without going through the trouble of saving it elsewhere as a text message or other... or making another forwarded email to yourself with the "From" always being yourself so you lose that option of filtering messages from the initial sender.
Just airing out my frustrations in finding a comparable alternative to Outlook's very intuitive capabilities of editing subject and body hassle-free... I am so looking forward to getting away from MS, but this email issues keeps me from doing so :(
Thanks for your time!
