For about a week now, I am not able to access almost any Microsoft web page. This is really strange and I haven't been able to find anything related on this topic. It started when I installed Genymotion emulator. Well, this may be just a coincidence and a false trail, but it may be related somehow as Genymotion installs some Virtual network connection for VirtualBox. I have already uninstalled Genymotion but it hasn't fixed the problem.

Anyway I get the error 502 (see the picture).

I can open the same pages in IE with no problem (I just get the feeling that it takes a liiiiitle bit more time than usual but that may be unrelated as well) by just copying the address.

Also another thing that may help to identify the problem is that when I run Nokia Software Updater for Retail which is a Microsoft application for WP recovery, it says that it "Could not connect to server" which I did not find any mention of as well. Nobody seems to have this problem. It also complains about proxy, that's why I wrote this note.

I have disabled proxy (switched from "Use system proxy settings") in Firefox settings but it did not help.

Other webpages seems to run fine.

Hello,

In order to better assist you with your issue please provide us with a screenshot. If you need help to create a screenshot, please see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

Once you've done this, attach the saved screenshot file to your forum post by clicking the Browse... button below the Post your reply box. This will help us to visualize the problem.

Thank you!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

I did create a screenshot and attached it to the original question but it somehow didn't show. I edited the question and this time it is visible.

Yes, the problem is present even in safe mode. For all the pages that do not work I get one of the two outcomes. Either it shows the error 502 listed on the screenshot attached to the question or I get a "Not expected" string in the top left of the window (see attached picture) which is locked in an infinite refresh loop.

Can you post a link to some of the web pages?

Thanks, clearing all the cookies containing "microsoft", "msdn" and "nokia" did the trick.
