I had opened a couple of sites along with marathimoviesdownload.blogspot.com.For the last site, I received a error message about the security settings.I clicked on the "Get me out of here" link. After that websites that I had open in the initial tabs.. along with marathimoviesdownload.blogspot.com are not loading. If you click on the links for the website like uploaded.net etc,the page opens but the contents do not load.

This is happening for IE as well as Firefox. I have tried by uninstalling Firefox, deleting the previous install data.Re-installed the latest Firefox version. Next I tried with your online support topics similar to mine. None of them have worked.

Thanks, -- MaddyJ.

The get me out of here page does have the option, "I understand the risk" or similiar to that. Do tell if it doesn't work, also my suggestion is based on experience, hopefully it works.

Then something on you computer may be blocking access.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware. Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder Linux:

  • Ubuntu Unity {web link}
  • Xfce: Applications Menu category sections
  • options depends on the package manager and the desktop environment

Go thru the list. If you find something that you don't know what it is, use a web search.

Thank you for the response. But I am afraid,it does not solve my problem. I know about the option you mentioned "I understand the Risks". I did not select that on purpose.. because there might be a chance of a malware getting installed.

I selected the "Get me Out of Here" option. So whatever happened should have happened to the site that generated the warning. All the other tabs, open at that time should have worked fine.

Thank you for the response. I checked all the installed programs on my computer as well as all the plug-ins. The plugins I used are same that I had installed before this problem occurred. Ditto with the installed programs.

The funniest part, is that I can access the links after using the data card to connect to Internet. But I can do the same with my broadband connection.

Unless you are using a proxy, the same web address should work regardless. Disable it for now and check.

This will sometimes happen to me when I work from home. It may sound redundant but it happens when my cache is large. If you have access to the command line and you have a window machine, try flushdns. Also clear the cache and cookies frequently if you access alot b of the same sites. If the Web page response takes too long to respond than the page WI go blank. Are these sites you mentioned a ceases alot? If so, what is an estimate of how many cached pages you have I your history with that url?

@guigs2: Thank you for the response. I did try flushdns command. And I also cleared the cookies and cache. No before that the websites did not cease. It is only after the problem mentioned, the webpages have been loading blank.

Is there anything else that I can do?

Thanks.

Hi MaddyJ,

There was another work around that another top contributor answered with that I will borrow here: "You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files. " Ref: corel

@guigs2: The above mentioned solution did not work. I followed the same steps that you have mentioned and it did not resolve the problem. I still see blank sites loading.

Thank you for your response though.

Of course, so it seems I do no know what to suggest except removing it from the cache or caches. Do you have a firewall as Fred asked?

You can open the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) and check on the Network tab if any content is blocked and has a file size 0 (zero).

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
