I have tried deleting all history to refresh cookies, changing history in options, going to about:permissions & refreshing there, but nothing seems to help. I have Firefox 30.0.

None of the other sites I go to have this problem.

You can open the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) and check the cookies that are send and requested on the Network tab.

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh all files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

You can inspect and manage the cookies for the domain in the currently selected tab:

  • Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location bar
  • Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
  • Click "View Cookies" to view the cookies for the domain in the currently selected tab

Hi, there, cor-el, thank you for your response.

I tried going to the web console, but do not know where the site identity button is. I cannot seem to find a globe or padlock. Could you please advise? I have been trying to research online, but can't find an answer.

Thank you for your help

Sincerely, balscarlet

Since many users have had problems with the HTTPS-Everywhere extension recently, I wonder whether you can make an exception for this site or try turning it off temporarily.

You usually can configure extensions, or disable them, on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions.

P.S. The Site Identity button is the area just to the left of the site address, usually displaying an icon indicating the security status of your connection to the site.

Hi, jscher2000.

OK, I tried disabling HTTPS everywhere, does not help.

Thanks for informing me about where the site identity button is( heck, I thought it was supposed to be in the web console, LMAO ). When I checked that, under 'Is website storing information( cookies ) on my computer?', the answer is no. I just checked another site, and the answer was yes.

So, I don't know what to do. Besides in about:permissions, I went to about:config to adjust some things, but that didn't help either. I have the cookie controller add on, and adjusted it to show 'cookies allowed for shoutmix.net', but that don't help either.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Sincerely, balscarlet

This is confusing because there are two domains here, shoutmix.com and shoutmix.net. If you right-click the login form area on the particular page you're using, does "This Frame" appear on the right-click context menu? If so, expand that and choose Open Frame in New Tab. Then use the site identity button to check permissions for that framed site, which may be shoutmix.com instead of shoutmix.net.

Hello, again. They're pretty much the same, but it is shoutmix.net that I'm trying to access, 'cuz I have Roboform, which logs me in, and in the address bar, it says shoutmix.net.

And, yes, in the context menu, its says 'This frame'. And, guess what? I just was logged in using that.

Um, let me close my browser, refresh it, and try again. Will let you know if that really worked. If so, WEEEIIIIIRRDD!!!! LMAO

Hi, again, jscher2000!!!

Well, all I can say is, 'houston, we have lift off', LMAO!!! It's weird, but it works like that, although, it has to open in another tab, and is gigantic( across the whole page, whereas normally shoutmix is just a small box in the middle ), now I can go there on Firefox. I have Chrome, as well as IE, for back up, so I've been using Chrome just to log in there. I don't really care all that much for Chrome, but it works in a pinch.

Thanks so much for ALL your help!!!

Take care & God Bless!!!

Sincerely, balscarlet
