I have been told to disable my ad-blocker by some commercial web sites and I understand that. But I am also not seeing charts and other non-ad items on web sites such as this one: https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/alcohols-health-myth-over-how-tell-patients-2026a1000map?ecd=wnl_tp10_daily_260703_MSCPEDIT_etid8475291&uac=146695DK&impID=8475291. I don't want to change my default browser but this is a recent development that seems to be impairing my viewing of pertinent items placed on legitimate web sites. Could you please tell me how to adjust my browser settings to stop this from happening? Thank you! Best regards, Bill Strike

Could you please submit it via the "Report Broken Site" functionality in the browser menu? I'm looking at the article linked and it's full of errors on their side, but what's mainly missing is some "magic AI" of theirs that only started loading when I scrolled past multiple articles so it's mostly just… slow. They might not be exactly good in optimizing their pages. I've seen a few reports for this site in the recent past where the site rendered broken in unique ways for users usually also over explicit code errors, so this one's not exactly the most reliable.

But generally if you're facing similar issues, please do report them.

The steps to basically make sure it's not a privacy feature or addon interfering are:

  1. Please check if you have Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) enabled. You can do that by clicking the shield Fx89ShieldIcon icon in the left part of the address bar. If ETP is enabled, try disabling it.
  2. If the problem is not fixed, try clearing Firefox cache.
  3. If it does not help, try clearing cookies and data for the website you experience troubles with (warning: you will be logged out on this website).
  4. If it also does not help, try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode. If the problem doesn't persist, please follow the steps from this article to troubleshoot further.
  5. If nothing from the above helps, try creating a new Firefox profile and check if the issue persists there. If it doesn't, you can start copying files from your old profile to the new one to identify which one causes the issue. See this article on what files to copy. — This is an advanced step you can skip if e.g. someone else confirms, or you can see the same in another Firefox instance as well…
  6. Finally, if creating a new profile hasn't helped, please check if the issue persists in other browsers (e.g. Chrome, Edge, Opera or Safari).
    • If it does, it is most likely an issue on the website's side. You may want to inform the website owner or administrator about that.
    • If it doesn't, that's a compatibility issue. Please report it via the browser menu item How do I report a broken site in Firefox desktop? so that our team there may be able to look into it.

I appreciate your suggestions and I will follow through on them. Thank you!
