unable to access my gmail account because a problem was found with cookie settings that I was not able to fix after a few attempts, including computer restarts
I do not know what Shockwave Flash is. Is this an OK plug-in or is could this be a source of the problem? DH1983SMS

Hi DH1983SMS, the "Shockwave Flash" plugins is the Flash player. Some sites still use it, but they can't use it without your permission. More info on that: Why do I have to click to activate plugins?
Now about Gmail, what is the message that you get?
You might be blocking "third party" cookies. When a site needs to coordinate across different servers to confirm that you are logged in, that is a potential third party cookie situation. Of course, there are also tracking cookies... Firefox offers a range of settings to help you find the right balance between privacy and sites working as designed.

Thank you for your response. I do not how it happened, but accessing my gmail via Firefox unexpectedly started to work again. Font size is a little smaller, however, but is workable and hopefully it will get better soon which would help me a bit.
But most importantly, THANK YOU AGAIN! I plan to retain this exchange to retain you thoughts and suggestions.
Sounds good. Also, you could try zoom to see whether a larger text size works better. Either:
- "3-bar" menu button > + button
- hold down the Ctrl key and tap the + key
Use the - button/key to reduce if it gets too large.
Thanks. I will give that a try.
