whenever mozilla firefox updates, i can not use FB or Ancestry.com for several days. Everything on those sites is pushed to the left of the page. I am able to Google and it looks ok. I check the plugins, and make sure all are up to date. adobe acrobat still shows outdated, even though I have updated it. I have to use IE for several days, until it changes. I would rather use firefox mozilla. This has been going on for several yrs. I have a HP laptop with Vista on it. I used to go back to an older version of Mozilla. sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. I have spent hours and hours trying to fix this. thank you for your time. I have tried Googling the problem, but didn't find an answer.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
