How can I stop Firefox from telling me to update?

adfac

I keep getting popups to update to Firefox 3.6.18 for mac os x. The problem is that the newer version will not open when I try to preview a web page through Dreamweaver. Firefox didn't always have this problem. The last version of Firefox to work properly was 3.5.16 which I am still using only because it works. How can I stop the Firefox update popups because since Firefox seems to have no intention of addressing or fixing the Dreamweaver problem, I have no intention of upgrading.

See Update Firefox to the latest release. The section How do I configure update options? explains how to disable automatic update checking.

Wow. That was easy enough. Thanks Alice!
