New tabs won't open (connect) unless I move the mouse. Why?
As stated, when I open a new tab everything freezes until I move my mouse. When I stop moving the mouse, the new tab freezes again ergo, I have to keep it going around in circles until it opens!

Do you have a mouse gestures extension installed?
One of those has been causing a problem like that for some users.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
