Fonts appear white on some pages
On my work computer some pages show text as white (or maybe even clear) on a white background with Firefox (screen shot: http://www1.coe.neu.edu/~christin/temp/Firefox.JPG) while in IE the text appears fine (http://www1.coe.neu.edu/~christin/temp/IE.JPG). When I use a different computer, firefox shows the pages ok. I have tried changing the color options in Tools, Options, Content, Colors but no matter what combination I try the page is still white on white. I can select the text in Firefox and it will highlight but is still not readable when highlighted so the text might actually be clear if that is possible instead of white. I can copy and paste it into another program such as Word or Notepad and it appears fine. Not all web pages are affected but the ones that are make me have to switch to another browser to view them. This started sometime last year after a firefox update. I have also completely uninstalled Firefox and all the user information and reinstalled firefox but it didn't affect anything. I don't know what else to check.

Did you try yo clear the cache? Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
That text is specified as:
font-family: Helvetica,Arial,Verdana,sans-serif; color: #333; font-size: 1em;
It is possible that you have a problem with the Helvetica font. Old, Mac bitmap versions of the Helvetica font have been mentioned a lot of times as causing problems in Firefox. You can try to uninstall all version of the Helvetica font in 'Control Panel > Font" to see if that helps.
Thanks....it was the Helvetica font. I uninstalled them and reinstalled them (as I need those fonts for work) and now it works again. Thanks so much it has been annoying me for a long long time.
You're welcome
