How to make links display correctly in received emails
Good afternoon.
When I receive emails such as password resets, or email verifications, etc., they always contain a line such as "click the link to verify your email", and they never display correctly like they do in other email programs, and I have to literally copy and paste the link in a web browser manually.
Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing?

what does "display correctly" man to you. I see nothing wrong in the image you have posted.

It is not a clickable link, so I don't have to highlight the whole thing, open a browser manually, then paste it in the URL box. That was my question is what do I need to do in the config / settings of Thunderbird to make them clickable links?
The same email in Outlook and all web based browsers is, in fact, clickable.
Much appreciated!
Hello.
Are there any updates to this?
I receive emails daily where they are an unclickable link only in Thunderbird.
Any web based browser, Outlook Classic, Outlook 365, and Squirrel Mail all resolve the link correctly.
It is only Thunderbird that won't resolve it so it is clickable.
The attached image shows what I am speaking of. I blurred out some parts of the link for security.

Try changing the message body view from whatever it is to one of the other two options. That is, if your default view is "Original HTML", change it to "Simple HTML" or "Plain Text". This option is found in the menu <View | Message Body As>. I think the problem arises when a message is sent to you in HTML format, but the URL is not enclosed in proper HTML link tags. When viewed as Text Only, Thunderbird is good at recognizing links from their format. I use the add-on "Toggle HTML" that gives me a convenient button to switch between views rather than having to dig through the menus.

There's another extension, "Allow HTML Temp", that does a similar job. I didn't like this one as much but you might.

This is *EXACTLY* what it was!

I installed this and clicked between the different views. I have attached a picture of each view. Plain Text was, in fact, the best view - but still didn't 100% render it.
