Font Size of Incoming Emails
Hi, so this question has been asked a lot but I've not seen a solution.
Incoming emails on my laptop have massive font sizes. I've used userChrome.css to manage the gui font size, but this issue is with viewing emails themselves.
1 - I've set preferences > Fonts & Appearance to from 16 (default) to 8, 6, 4 but there is no change in how incoming emails appear.
2 - I've also used advanced settings to ensure the font sizes are equal (8 for example), and unchecked the box for "allow messages to use other fonts"
3 - the zoom feature does allow emails to be reduced to sane size using [ctl] - but the zoom setting is not retained after quitting
Any suggestions?

Did you also set the fonts and sizes in Advanced for Other Writing Systems?

sfhowes, thanks for the suggestion. Setting Other Writing Systems to 12 in this case mostly results in a minimum sane font size for basic text emails. That's good to know. But every HTML email still renders differently, and mostly with jumbo sized fonts. There's no consistency to it.
If you've unchecked 'Allow messages to use other fonts', html mail should apply the font and size settings in Advanced. Do they look better with View/Message Body As set to Simple HTML?
