Click on the gmail account in Thunderbird. On the far right side click on "Account settings". Then, in account settings, at the bottom left click account actions, and then "remove".

Click on the gmail account in Thunderbird. On the far right side click on "Account settings". Then, in account settings, at the bottom left click account actions, and then "remove".
