Thunderbird config
I accidently set layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to value 10 instead of planned change to value 1 in Thunderbird 78 on Linux Mint 20.2. Now display is huge and I am not able to see my way around in TB. All I see is white space. I don't know of any way to edit config file from outside of TB program. Thought perhaps I could just uninstall TB and delete .thunderbird file after backing up to a new location, then reinstall TB and recover emails and address book from backed up profile but not sure how to do so. I cannot simply restore my old profile because it would include the botched config file.
I would welcome any help to get me out of this self inflicted mess! Thanks in advance.

Close TB and open the profile folder, then open prefs.js in a text editor, search for the line with layout.css.devPixelsPerPx, change the value from 10 to 1 or 1.25, save the file, then restart TB. You should then be able to navigate Config. editor to set the value precisely.

Thank you ever so much. So simple and easy! One can't help but ask "Why didn't I think of that?"
