Always-on Private sessions
I'm not sure of where to post feature requests and I can't find a roadmap for the product, but here I go:
Coming from Firefox Focus, I liked the feature that all data is deleted on app exit.
While launching Firefox Preview in private session with a home screen shortcut is very good in offering a choice (which I do take advantage of), this is only applied when directly tapping the shortcut and not when a 'custom tab' is opened by an app. For example, opening an article link in an app, Preview currently only able to open in a standard session, remembering all of the data received... Can I make a feature request that mimics the behavior of Firefox Focus, but as a option for users to enable. i.e. All 'custom tabs' are opened in private sessions, destroying all data on exit.
With Firefox Focus now being shelved for Preview, this feature provides users the performance gains from Preview and the privacy benefits of Focus.

For anyone curious about this feature, the link provided to the feature request by Seburo shows that it has already been implemented and will be in a future stable release.
Hi
Yes, it is available now in the current open Firefox Preview Nightly release.
If you open the menu and select Settings and choose Set as default browser, you should see (if you set Firefox Preview as the default) an option to Open links in a private tab.
I hope you like this new feature and thank you for you interest in Firefox Preview.
