As soon as I click on the sent folder in which I have 4776 MB of sent mails it freezes and becomes non responsive and I have to force quick the system. Everything else works. What can I do? Thank you for your help! DS

Hi danielascarcia, how do you access your emails? Via IMAP or POP3? Do you use a Google account?

Thunderbird puts every mail in a folder into a single file. 4GB is quite a file to work with. The best solution for you is probably to login to your webmail and split up the folder into different smaller folders. 500MB should work fine.
