Under the help section on how to create email using a mailing list, it advises that each contact in the mailing list will appear in a separate 'To' field. This allows one to remove a name if desired. BUT why does this not apply when FORWARDING an email to a mailing list when a name needs to be removed.

Try this: click Forward to open the message in a Write window, then F9 to show the Contacts Sidebar, select the list in the sidebar, right-click, Edit List (Ctrl+I), click OK. Now, the list entries are displayed in the sidebar, so select the ones you want to forward to and then click Add to To: or Add to Bcc:. The same procedure works for replying or composing a new message to a mailing list when you want to exclude certain contacts.
