Bookmarks deleted when I downloaded Firefox to another laptop

more options

When I downloaded Firefox to another laptop it automatically loaded some of my bookmarks on the new laptop and then deleted the bookmarks that wasn't transfered from the old laptop. I did not know the old laptop was set up to sync nor had I ever used sync. I had not set anything on the new laptop as yet either. Is there any way to get my bookmarks back?

Hi blackfoot001, is the problem on the old laptop?

Firefox makes regular bookmark backups. So if the old Firefox is still running, you can restore its earlier bookmarks using the steps in this article:

Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer

If the problem is on the new laptop, how did you transfer the bookmarks originally, before Firefox modified them?
