I did the update to version 26 and said could not connect with server so I tried explorer and it worked and chrome also worked so it was not me. deleted version 26 and went back to version 25 and all is working. Do not know why this has happened.

hello popymoose, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions: Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox
