Hi,

recently the results of a Google search have changed in appearance. They now no longer UNDERLINE each individual "title" of each web site search result. This has made it very difficult to read the results effectively; they all run together.

How do I change the results appearance BACK to what it used to be, with each web site title underlined without running over them with the curser.

I assume I have downloaded automatically a NEW version of Firefox. I would like to change back to the original version please.

HOW DO I DO THIS?

Thankyou, Wade Agnew

To prevent any misunderstanding, Firefox isn't a "search engine", nor does Firefox have its own search engine - its strictly a web browser. If you are doing a search from the Address Bar, the Search Engine which is selected in the Search Bar is used.

Besides cookies and cache, as phillip mentioned, if you have a Google+ or Gmail account are you logged into Google when that happens?
If so, have you tried logging out of your Google account to see if that changes anything?

hello wade, this won't be related to any firefox update. google does conduct design experiments from time to time for a small subset of users, most probably that's why you're seeing this issue.

please try to clear the cache & cookies from google.com and reload the page.

Philipp,

Tried both your suggestions, but no luck.

All the web sites "titles" still come up NOT UNDERLINED. This makes the results very hard to read.

You can not easily differentiate one web site from another. Any further help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Wade

Hi,

I forgot to mention, this problem DOES NOT happen with "Internet Explorer" but only with Firefox search engine.

So it is absolutely related to Firefox only. That is why I thought it must be because of an update. It started yesterday 20th November (Australian time)

Thanks, Wade

Could you check your settings?

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Content > "Colors" button

There is a checkbox to turn on and off link underlining.

Hi,

I logged out of Google+ and that immediately fixed the problem.

Thankyou very much for your fast help; have a great Christmas. Thanks again; much appreciated.
