Hi, I am trying to set up my new email on Thunderbird and am getting a yellow box saying "Probably wrong config, user, or PW

My old email address was [redacted] @USIWireless.com. I got a new email address: [redacted] @icloud.com I am trying to set up my new email address with Thunderbird and when I do the steps I get an error message. "Unable to log in at server probably wrong configuration, user name or password. I am using my new email address with its password. Not sure what to do next. I would really like to get my new email on Thunderbird. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you for any help! Anthony Berka

You must use an app-specific password instead of your usual password.

Dear Rick, Thank you very much for your help! The link you sent me did the trick. It took me a while to figure out how to navigate my new phone to get the App specific password, but I learned a lot doing it and set up my new account. I was then able to designate it as my default and move it, my old email, and my local folders around so they are in a usable order. You are an IT GEM!!! Thanks again!! Best Regards, Tony Berka
