Anything relating to Firefox refuses to open for more than a split second.
Today, I signed on to use my laptop, as usual, nothing different about how I sat down or anything, and I try to open Firefox and it flashes something on the screen, but I don't catch it as it immediately closes as well. It looked like a popup with a button, if that helps. I then try to open it again, realizing that I've got that bug, the one that causes browsers to open for a split-second and then close immediately, so I try to fix it how I fixed Opera GX before I stopped using that. Restarting? Nothing. Looking online for answers? Found some! I try starting it in Troubleshoot Mode, I can see down in my taskbar that Firefox is trying to open in Troubleshoot Mode but isn't. Okay, let's try something else, the Profile Manager. I use the Windows+R key to open the Run window and type in firefox.exe -p which according to a couple of websites, -This one included- should have opened the profile manager in a popup, but all I get is a flash of a window and nothing else. Then, I finally try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, upon reinstallation it asks if I want to keep my settings and whatnot, I say yes, problem persists. I uninstall and reinstall again, only this time declining the ability to keep my settings, the problem persists.
I'm extremely confused as to why nothing is working, and I don't want to have to reinstall Windows itself like I saw a comment on Reddit recommend, so if anybody has a slight idea of a solution, I'd be grateful, thank you in advance.
Edit: Just tried downloading and running Chrome, it worked for a second until it randomly closed, I know this isn't the support site for that browser, but I thought I'd mention that the "Not opening, just falshing for a millisecond" isn't just a Firefox thing for me.

I read this and got my father to sign in and removed myself from the family (which was a long overdue process) and it fixed the problem entirely, I don't even need to rename the executable anymore!
so, Anybody looking for an answer to this and has a similar experience to mine; it all has to do with the Microsoft Family restrictions, I had all content filtering off and it still wouldn't let me open firefox or any other browsers, a short-term fix is to rename the firefox.exe found in your C: drive under Program files into something else, but the long term fix is to remove yourself from the family entirely.
thanks to all the kind people who responded to this for helping me figure all of this out, sincere kudos to you all :)

The system keeps a crash report. Win + R — eventvwr.msc — Windows Logs. Here you can find out more about why this happens

I tried using the event viewer and nothing showed up when I tried opening Firefox, administrator and non.

The service may be disabled. Check by entering sc query eventlog. I also recommend checking the swapfile, it is recommended that it always be there, regardless of how much RAM. In any case, it is better to use the sfc /scannow file check, but it is even better to visit specialized sites such as: https://answers.microsoft.com/ or https://superuser.com/

Renaming the firefox.exe file is allowing me to open it, I haven't tried renaming it back to "firefox.exe" after disabling a few uneeded extensions, but something makes me think it has to do with a "content filtering" thing I've seen that has to do with having a family microsoft account.

Thanks for confirming the fix for this issue, Bri. I moved the solution to your last reply, which would hopefully help other people with the same issue.
