In intervals ranging from several hours to about 5 minutes, Firefox stops being able to connect the internet. Restarting it restores the connection, but never permanently. No other browser or application that uses the internet connection experiences this problem. Anyone else have this problem? I'm using the 64-bit version of Win 10.

And what kinda ISP are you using? And are you using adblocker and what security software are you using?

Sorry, I meant restarting Firefox restores the connection. The only separate security software I have running is Avast. I am using adblocker, though. My ISP is Comcast.

Contact your ISP and have them test your service.

The outages, is it constant thru the day? Certain parts of the day?

I doubt it's service-related since it doesn't happen with any other browser and no one else in the house has experienced it. That's an interesting question about the timing. As far as I can tell there's no consistent pattern to the occurrences though it might be a bit more common at night. Then again, it was happening about every 10 minutes this morning, I may just switch to a different browser.

Hi, please note : there is security software like Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender, ESET & sometimes McAfee that can cause issues with certificates and/or with their scanners.

Note : I believe this is out of date but is a example :

Note : Firefox updates to version 62.0 tomorrow.

Oh that's good news. Maybe the update will fix it. I'll check out that article and see what I can do with Avast. Thanks for your help, everyone!
