When typing a word for example "diatribe" to do a Google search for the definition and pronunciation I receive the following error: Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to www.google.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

This only occurred AFTER Firefox did an update. When will this be fixed? I detest Chrome, however, it is becoming my only option when I cannot work because Firefox does updates that hinder me.

hi, we have heard about this problem from avast/avg users, which security software is meddling with encrypted connections. please try to disable the scanning of https connections as described in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER#w_avast and see if this is making a difference.
