Firefox 54.0.1 as with older versions won't copy & paste anywhere

Haven't been able to copy & paste for some time on Mac - in any program including Firefox. No extensions to remove. 54.0.1. version allows copying within Firefox but nowhere else. It seems as though it's deliberately been designed to be incompatible with any Mac programs. Getting ready to dump the browser after a lot of years and go to Chrome or Opera unless someone can fix the problem. The Add Image feature on this form also won't allow attachment of rtf file showing the application basics.

Am sure can be fixed up. Please try this 1st : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

I would also suggest disabling any Extensions and Add-ons that you may have before doing the above.
