...Desktop site option setting does not stick! After switching tabs for 5 mins, it changes back to mobile site view & I HAVE TO X out of tab, reopen it, & check desktop site again! You can't just reset the desktop site option on & off either, doesn't work. You MUST X out the tab & start all over. ...It's a real pia! In older versions it always worked, always defaulted even days later! However, NOT in the last few versions, why can't it still currently work now? It should! ...And god for bid you find any real support! And probably won't get it here either. ...."IS" there ANY real, live support around here? A developer email? Anything??? I was looking for the settings button on the Firefox Android app but cannot find it in its usual place in the meatball menu in the bottom right (I have the search/tabs bar set at the bottom of the screen). Please see attached screenshot. Could you please let me know where the settings button has been moved to? I can't find it by myself, and as this seems to be a relatively recent change I can't find anything online/in the FAQ about where it might have gone. Thank you! :)

I am using an updated version of Firefox on Android. (118.1.1) I was trying to use the "add to home screen" function for a website but i can't find it in the menu. Did it disappear? The install function worked in a way to make an icon for a website on the home screen, but it only gives it a generic name.

I know that I have had that option a long time ago and I want it back . I could save my website settings in a cloud and than if I needed I could backup them.

I am using the Firefox Nightly version and when I click on links related to Instagram, YouTube or other applications, it takes me directly to the application.

But when I click on the my course link, it directs me directly to Microsoft's own site to download the application. (Microsoft Teams)

I tried this in other browsers, but they did not have such a problem. That's why I downloaded and tried other Firefox versions, but they also have the same problem...

I also disabled the extensions but the problem is the same.

So the problem is, while Firefox Nightly opens other sites in the application, it does not open it in the application when i click on this course link. What is the source of the problem?

Trying to make Firefox my default browser

Yesterday the option to make Firefox my main browser turned on on my Android phone. It won't let me turn it on. I have Google on my phone, but I never updated it, I updated myself yesterday, I can't turn it off. I also have a MI browser that is disabled. When Fitefox is not my main browser, I cannot add web shortcuts to the start screen, and I use it all the time and miss it a lot. What should I do to restore the option to make Firefox my main browser? I used to have Google but now I don't know what's going on? Help me please!!!

so i want to delete bookmarks, passwords, cookies, site history, everything!!!

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but somehow it didnt remove my passwords (and no i didnt enable sync after reinstall)

Reason: I have just spent a good amount of time cleaning up old passwords that i dont use anymore or have changed and not been updated from some reason. When i re-enable sync, I dont want the saved passwords from my phone to resync to my PC. To be absolutely sure that this doesnt happen i would like to just resync all the data to my phone from my sync account.

Good morning. I use Firefox in my pc as well as my cell phone. The android version had a quit feature at the bottom to close and exit the browser but it is not showing after updates. Where can I find it?

Today, when attempting to print a pdf, connection was lost between Android phone and printer. Computers still have printing privilege. The error msg says Firefox blocked. How is this error corrected. Thanks, Jane

I want to NOT open links in external apps, so I set the option "Open links in apps" to "Never", however Firefox keeps asking of I want to open the link in another app, so there is no difference with "ask before opening" option". Is there any way to not open links in apps without Firefox asking for confirmation?

When I attempt to open a YouTube link in the Reddit app, it opens a window in Firefox since that's my default browser. I have open links in apps set to on, but it never opens the YouTube app.

There is a problem with the browser. Initially, it looked like firefox was no longer the default browser.

Then I noticed that hyperlinks and buttons stopped working in Firefox itself. And if the link can be followed by a long tap (then the context menu appears), then clicking on the buttons is a problem: it is impossible to log in, send a message, etc.

Also, the buttons in the main menu stopped working. I wanted to see the saved firefox account password (to sync passwords), but the "passwords" page just wouldn't open. So - with almost all browser settings...

What did you do... 1. Checked the phone with antivirus (Kaspersky and Comodo). Phone is clean. 2. Performed a full firefox reset. Now the browser is clean. Links are working. Settings are available.

Can't set firefox as default browser. The browser is selected in the settings. But following any link from any application (for example, from Telegram or Viber) does not open in the browser.

Im using Firefox android on my new pixel 7. I found that the 'add to home screen' option is not available on the ... List. I searched for solution. Someone say click on Install option. But there's no install option either.

The add to home screen is available on my old moto phone

Does anyone have this same issue and have a solution how to fix this? I very much appreciate all your help!

Is it by design Speech Synth is installed in the background on Android 8? I don't have it listed in my logs that I installed, unrequested install. Also Firefox 116.0.3 now calls for Speech Synth to be installed. Is this normal?

There used to be an optio open in app option under 3 dot menu right hand corner but after updating to latest version it has gone.

I need that option badly. Please help getting that back I don't want to clear data or uninstall as it will completely ruin many settings logins layout ETC it will be chaos for me

Please allow force-enabling of the "Open in App" button on all domains.

The cause of my asking this is that YouTube no longer has this option. Presumably because they explicitly disallowed this. I want my end-user control over this back. To note, reddit still has this option.

So my request is to add a toggle to force this button to appear on all domains, if at all possible.

I am sure the option to open pixiv links in native app had been there. Now it is gone. Does someone know why it is like this or how to make it work again?

P.S.: The option still exists for youtube for example
