It seems as though there are hundreds of webpages of settings between the three sites (Hotmail, Google Groups, Firefox). I've checked everywhere I can find, but if there is a particular page or setting to fix this, I cannot find it or recognize it.

Hotmail wants to examine my email settings, but I am uncomfortable allowing anyone access, and I don't think the problem is there. Google Groups tried its best but had only the one suggestion that did not help. I'm left with Firefox. I have changed some settings over time, but I don't remember them all, and nothing stands out when I look for a solution.

My Firefox browser is the most recent version, 84.0.2.

Any help you can suggest will be sincerely appreciated. Diana Penhaven

Several weeks ago I tried the access eBay and got the following error message:

Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.ebay.com/sch/ebayadvsearch/?" on this server. Reference #18.f924c17.1608206592.152fe04c

Ever since then I receive the same error message when I try to load eBay. I talked to someone at eBay and they suggested it was related to interference by a VPN program.

We have a web site which is working perfect with all other modern browsers except Mozilla's. For this reason we are redirecting the users ,who uses Mozilla browsers, to another page that is saying Mozilla Browsers are not compatible with this web site and please use another browser. But this is not a good user experience and we need help about this problem. The problem is that; on a page there are divs which are hidden by default (with css 'display:none;'),and when a user clicks on a related button, a javascript function named as showhide give response and show the hidden div by making the related div unhidden ( with js command document.getElementById(arguments[0]).style.display = "block";) or on next click ( vice versa with js command document.getElementById(arguments[0]).style.display = "none";) This is working with all other modern browsers except Mozilla's. We tested this situation approximately for 6 months with the most up to date versions of Mozilla but nothing changed. Now we are using version 84.0.2 64 bit but nothing changed. I find that images generally show on webpages such as the front page of a news site. However, when I click into a specific article, the image which is usually near the start of an article in a lot of cases does not show (so it's not a "always never shown" situation); it's as if it's been removed from the webpage syntax i.e. there's no white space section showing something is missing. One example (of many I could include!) is https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/phonics-revolution-the-new-sound-of-reading-in-the-nations-schools/7A5UVZ55NAOJEQACLKELCNEU6U/ I verified there are images there by restarting Firefox with Add-ons disabled (which starts Firefox in Safe Mode), and also by opening in another browser. So I went thru and disabled *all* add-ons and restarted Firefox. Images still don't show! These missing images only show when I run Firefox in Safe Mode.

In the back of my mind, there is/used-to-be an option to limit the size of images on a page(?) but I can't find any option now. I have also refreshed Firefox (a number of times; including a total de-install, reboot, re-install) but the problem remains. .. What am I missing? I'd like to be able to see these images.

Firefox 84.0.2 (64-bit) Running HTTPS Everywhere Running Privacy Badger Firefox set for standard enhanced tracking protection HTTPS-ONLY mode set for all windows

At my bank and a few other websites using HTTPS as standard operating procedure, Firefox gives me an error that the site is NOT using HTTPS and gives me the option of using only HTTP! This is unacceptable, financial transactions must be secured with HTTPS. What is the fix for this?

I'm spread thin and don't have the personal time resource to keep hunting through thousands of miscellaneous support articles that, from their titles, I haven't a clue whether they are relevant or not! (Though I tried investing an hour or so in this exercise getting nowhere.)

Sorry, I didn't save copies of the same error message on three different HTTPS sites.

We all have done it, said ok to taking a survey, right? Well this is bull. No site survey should be able to in bed itself in a startup session, ever. So, how do we go in and remove just that one site who has taken control of my startup. Closing it should be the end of it but no. These are not adware, reset is not the answer, too much work to do a reset. We should have a list of sites that are in the session restore so we can remove some misbehaving ones.

Recently it happened every time I tried to download multiple media on a page. On Firefox "Page Info > Media", I selected a batch of media files, say pictures in .jpg format and clicked "Save As". I was prompted for file folder. After selecting the folder, the batch of media files were not downloaded to the folder. As I exited Firefox, I was prompted whether to stop the downloading. Weeks ago, the selected batch of files would be downloaded immediately as I clicked "Save As". (Environment = Firebox 84.0.2 (64 bites) on Windows 10)

I have refreshed my Firefox, because it was slow.

In the description was written: Firefox will save these items:

   Bookmarks
   Browsing and download history
   Passwords
   Cookies
   Web form auto-fill information
   Personal dictionary 

Ok. It's fine. But after refreshing the Firefox how can I restore these elements?

Please send me a step by step instruction, without referring the webpage, because I have read it and it is not clear for me.

Where is my older profile? Where is my new profile? How can I move the elements from the older profile to the new profile?

Somehow while searching for this solution on the web. I got my answer in a foreign Firefox. The answers posted to this solution are in English but all the other buttons are according to Goggle translate are in Lithuanian. How can I see this whole page in English?

I was able to answer a couple of people but if I search in my USA profile, none my posted questions or answers include the ones from the Lithuanian Firefox.  Just curious if I could see them here somehow.

I received the error message that Firefox could not open because it was already running, but this did not show on the task manager. I googled the issue and stumbled upon a solution where people had deleted their profile in order to solve it. So I did, and Firefox worked again, but all of my passwords, bookmarks and everything was lost. Is it possible to recover this?

I am using a Mac.

Mind you, I am super bad at technicalities and would probably need explanations as if I am five years old.

Version 84.0.2. Windows 10. I inadvertently opened a second FF window which had no tabs and no bookmarks toolbar. I closed FF which had many open tabs and many bookmarks toolbar items. Now all tabs are lost and all toolbar entries are lost. On reopening FF, only the FF with no tabs and no bookmarks toolbar will open. I have searched and read many "solutions", but nothing that I can get to work. Does anybody actually know what can be done or that nothing can be done. I had not yet reinstalled my general backup program prior to this so there is no other backup and all I have to rely on is FF alone. Are at least the bookmarks toolbar items stored somewhere even if the tabs are not recoverable?

All bookmarks are there except for bookmarks toolbar items.

I would like to restore both tabs and the bookmarks toolbar if possible. If anything can be done, can anyone articulate some clear instructions?

My hp note book agot a reset recently with the windows 10 and I lost the previous mozilla with all credentials login id and password which I stored in mozilla browser and same are replaced by Chrome Saved Credentials now what I do to retrieve my old credentials which I saved on Mozilla as I have seen many old answers from you I didn't found any folder with old data of Mozilla Please help me

I am not able to run flash player , it is giving error "shockwave flash is known to be vulnerable and should be updated" but "update now" does not work. Flash stopped working after 12 Jan 2021.

I have reinstalled firefox ( fresh installation - version 84.0.2 ) and uninstalled flash player using "uninstall_flash_player" , again installed install_flash_player after closing all browsers. Still it does not work. Please find attached images.

Is there any way to fix the issue ?

Hi I know I have asked this before, but it is still something I want to do. I want to prevent Firefox from automatically updating itself. I know there is a box for this in options but this doesn't prevent automatic updates: a known issue. I have tried all manner of about: config settings registry edits etc. but I still cannot prevent Firefox from updating. As Firefox apparently cannot update without removing all my settings addins etc. it becomes more and more like I am having to hold its hand each and every time. Gone are the days when software worked for you, now you have to sist back and continually waste time restoring settings and addins: but only if Firefox decides they remain of use, whether I want them or not. I then have to either start from scratch by manually reinstalling them, or find another as Firefox no longer lists them. I find this "we know better than you " attitude is unnacceptable. Does anyone else share my thoughts that software should do what the end user wants it to and not what the provider wants?
