I took my computer in last week to get a newer version of windows installed. I had so many bookmarks on firefox that I used for work and after finding the old bookmarks data on my desktop the most recent version is from April. Is there a way to find the most recent bookmarks from this month so that I can restore them?

I am new to Firefox as well as Linux and my laptop is running two hard drives, each dedicated to its own operating system, Windows and Linux. I created a Firefox account in Windows and was able to export all bookmarks from Chrome to the new account. The Linux version I'm using is Manjaro KDE and Firefox comes pre-loaded and so I logged in with my new account and chose import bookmarks from HTML, having exported from Windows Firefox bookmarks via HTML. I see no file on the receiving end? Any ideas? Thank You, Ron
Any solutions for restoring the lost bookmarks? I'm not a technical person, so please dumb down your response. Thanks!
Why my bookmark always missing. Everyday I check and restore from my previous backup.
How do I fix this problem at Firefox?

I installed Firefox on my mac a few months ago. Worked a LONG time to save/organize all of my bookmarks. For whatever reason.. was logged off or kicked off of Firefox. When I logged back in-all of my bookmarks were gone. I looked all over the site for help....and after trying one suggestion-thankfully....I was able to have a few of them returned to my sidebar. I am still missing many. I again searched all over the Help section; however, I have been unable to get them restored. If I manually re-enter as many as I can remember-how do I assure this doesn't happen again? And secondly, anyway I can continue to work to re-install the rest of them? I am missing my most recent bookmarks and unfortunately...I cannot recall the sites for the specific articles I wanted to research. If anyone is able to help me, please use simple computer terms/directions as I am not an IT specialist. :) THANK YOU in advance!!!

Sorry if long-winded, just trying to provide pertinent info...
So, when I click on the bookmarks icon, I get the following options...
View Bookmarks Sidebar Show All Bookmarks Bookmarks Toolbar Other Bookmarks
The only one I ever use, the only one I need, is actually the Other Bookmarks folder.
This means I'm at minimum two clicks from my bookmarks, and three clicks from an actual bookmark.
My question...
How can I fix Firefox so that when I click on the Bookmarks icon it actually shows the bookmarks I seek to find, instead of all that other fluff I never use?
It'd be so nice to be only two clicks from a bookmark, thus...
1) Open Bookmarks icon
2) See my bookmarks
Thanks for any help you can provide here, as it is so annoying the way it is now.

Hi community, I want to bookmark only sites I wish to return to, but it seems that my entire history is bookmarked. I don't mind Firefox remembering my entire history, but it seems as though one's history and bookmarks and library are one and the same thing. I started using, "tags" to deal with it, but even tags require me to dig through my library/entire history to find them. Isn't there some way to have my bookmarks be separate from my history/library? Thanks in advance!

I recently purchased a 2020 iMac and have found accessing my yahoo mail account cumbersome. Each time I open Firefox, I have to start from scratch to access my yahoo emails (search for yahoo mail sign-in link, enter yahoo email account, enter yahoo password). Incredibly time-consuming and frustrating. On my previous iMac (purchased 2008!), yahoo mail opened immediately when Firefox opened, making it very easy to quickly check my email. I have been unable to reproduce this rapid access route, despite spending a few hours on the phone with Yahoo (which finally gave up and suggested asking Firefox). Bookmark for yahoo mail vanishes when Firefox is closed and then re-opened. Same for top sites. Direct yahoo email access remains only as long as Firefox remains open. I would appreciate help in creating an efficient route from opening Firefox to reading my yahoo emails. Thanks!
