On Windows 7, vr 98 was starting in a second. Now vr 99 start in 9 second. On Windows 10, vr 99 start in a second. Will it be fix soon or how can I reinstall vr 98 AND keep my profile?

just updated to version 100, and now my work is stalled because I can't play online training videos (that it's my job to create, so need to publish and preview them online). The audio plays, but the video does not. Interestingly, when I navigate away from the tab, the visual still refreshes to the progress point in the video, but still does not PLAY the video.

Is there a way to downgrade to the previous Firefox version?

Hello, yesterday my Firefox started exhibiting very weird problems. Websites often fail to load and I get a We're having trouble finding that site, which I pass by refreshing the page, sometimes it takes one refresh, sometimes even 5-6. The tabs also crash randomly (this started happening today). Other web browsers do not exhibit that problem. I tried: - clearing cookies and site data - refreshing Firefox - re-enabling Firefox in the Firewall - completely reinstalling Firefox - restarting my router - the problem also happens in Troubleshoot mode

Ive sunk a lot of hours into trying to fix this problem, but it always comes back. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

This happens with all browsers. I need a software but it needs to find firefox.exe I have tried changing the name of the firefox exe but then the software wont work. It flashes white and it shuts down.

My google drive keeps disconnecting, and google drive/google docs links are not working. I have attached a screenshot of the new tab page when I copy paste a google sheets document URL into the search bar and hit enter. After the reloading icon animates, I stay on the new tab page and the url just sits there. The debug console shows 1 GET request that is timed out (picture also attached).

I can fix the issue by completely closing all firefox windows and opening again, but it will disconnect me after some minutes.

Firefox has seemed unstable for a few months now, but in the past weeks even more so. It crashes often, and has usually crashed when I come back to my desktop after a few hours or the weekend. Today it has crashed on me at least 10 times. It does not seem to relate to a particular website or activity. It is becoming so difficult to work with that I am going to have to go to Chrome or something else if it's not fixed. Firefox pretty regularly does updates (often after it has crashed), so it is not that I've got an old version or something.

Firefox 100.x - new download - while loading says it's already open when it's not. Meaning that I force quit the app out of the running apps, and cleared all background processes named firefox ... or mozilla ....

I deleted the app and reinstalled but no better.

The app just don't load up.

Stick with Brave? What do you advise?

When I try to upload a file to a website it cancels after about 8-10% completed. I was able to upload the same file to the same website in Microsoft Edge without any issues. I checked my Firefox update history and I see that it updated to 100.00 yesterday 5/3/22.

scrolling via up/down keys do not work on half the webpages i vist. other browsers scroll just fine, but not firefox. i want to continue using firefox, but like many others i know, i will stop using firefox is this issue cannot be resolved.

My Firefox has suddenly stopped working when websites have menus you need to scroll through on the right side. Example: websites where you are drilling down through filter options, or in Ancestry where you will typically open a record in the hints screen and scroll down through the detail. The right scroll navigation causes the whole page to scroll up and down; there's no way to navigate down in the sub-display. I have run FF in safe mode, and done a scorched-earth uninstall/reinstall and the problem persists even with no plug-ins restored. This is on a machine running Windows 11. The machine crashed right before this became a problem. Sites work in Edge without issue.

Hello! I've been using Firefox as my daily driver web browser for at least a year, first on Windows and now more recently on Linux (specs below). The PC itself is the same, the only thing to change was the OS. Ever since moving to Linux, I've had this problem with crashing. I have two monitors and I will usually snap the browser to half of one screen while I do other things on the rest of my display space. However, most of the time when I try to drag the browser window off of its half of the screen, all of my Firefox windows crash, with an error message about not being able to send a crash report (see attached image). This has been happening with multiple browser versions, both the official repository release as well as the Flatpak. No other application has behaved like this.

After recent latest update 99.0.1 Mozilla is slow to start. It seems to hang. I use Google as my homepage. Am Windows 7, 64 bit. I tried refresh and made Mozilla my home page. No difference. Chrome opens fine. Was really disappointed with refresh. It dropped a number of icons for shortcuts on my desktop - ????? which were a real pain to replace because making shortcuts with Mozilla is not possible without changing the User Account Control setting in Control Panel which I was unaware of but found after searching for 1/2 hour. I have no idea when this changed nor why it did on the Mozilla side because I have been using Windows 7 for 12 years. I am sending this using Chrome as my browser.

I can't login to Lastpass with the latest version of Firefox 98.0.1. Neither the Lastpass extension or attempting to Login to Lastpass via the website will open the password vault. I enter my Lastpass email and password login details then authenticate with 2FA and all I get is the spinning wheel of anticipation which times out after 7 or 8 seconds. MS Edge allows Login and I tried Firefox Ver 98.0 on another PC and Lastpass login works so there appears to be an issue with Ver 98.0.1. Running fully patched Win 10 laptop.

The included pic shows the red screen that comes up when I hold shift down when the mail composer is up, this is one of several like errors like a hover over text one and auto save one which crash the page nearly and require reloading of the page, another error is that the close, minimize and maximize buttons are missing when protonmail site tab is both active and maximized, not when minimized, then it is the same as the rest, support and I were not able to resolve this, I picked up some Java replacement extensions and whatnot and that did not work either.

Hi everyone ! I am having trouble in accessing the internet through Firefox. Other browsers on my computer works, only firefox is having this error. I am not sure what may have caused this. I access the internet through WiFi, I don't use VPN and didn't change the DNS settings. I have also updated to the latest version of firefox, but this error still persists. In the screenshot, I was trying to access youtube.com, but this error persists on any other websites that I try to access including mozilla.org. Please let me know how to fix this error. Thank you !

From what I understand firefox now supports subtitles in picture in picture mode but when I use it for youtube it doesn't work. I have enabled the captions in the advanced settings and I have tried it with all my addons disabled.

After update I am no longer able to open a new tab with the "add new tab"button, nor with the Ctrl + T command. A new tab will open if right clicking on a Link on page or search result and selecting/scrolling to "open in new tab". Win 7 (64bit) , FireFox Browser build 100.0(64 bit)

I have recently updated to Firefox 100. I am now getting this message on a page "You are using an outdated browser. Please upgrade your browser." I have confirmed I am up to date.

The "update you browser" has a link to "whatbrowser.org", which I believe is run by that horrid business, Google.

Has anyone struck this problem? Is there a solution?

I have closed Firefox & re-opened, I have rebooted the computer. No change.
