I had to make a system reset (Windows 11) on June 14 and lost all my bookmarks. Is there a way to recover a version of my bookmarks of prior to June 14?

Sir, I'm not sure, but I think my bookmarks vanished in combinaton with an upgrade. All of them are gone, and I very much would like to have them back! Sincerely Yours, Dan

My bookmarks keep multiplying and duplicating and I can't delete them. I've signed out on all other devices, refreshed FF, stopped sync, Other than a new user account, I'm not sure what else to do

My computer 'guru' reinstalled Win10 in order to correct a serious problem. ALL of my programs were gone and I was left with a raw Win10. 6/12/2023 was last date prior to the disaster. I reinstalled Firefox. Using the "firefox.exe -p" I can only find the default profile. I DO HAVE a full backup done using the Win7 Backup and Restore feature. How do I resurrect my most recent profile? I will need to find the files(s) manually from the b/u. When I did a Full Restore the bookmarks didn't appear. Where and what files am I looking for? Hi,

Whenever I make a bookmark, it automatically puts it in the Bookmark Toolbar, but I want it to default to the Bookmark Menu. I can't find any way to do that and can't find any good information about it. One site said I needed an ad-on, but I shouldn't need that for something so simple that used to work fine on my old computer with Firefox. I can't find any settings for this at all.

Please help me fix this.

I can't figure out how do I sync my Google Bookmarks to my Firefox Browser account. I have been trying since installation of Firefox. What am I doing wrong. Firefox doesn't synch I guess. l need your help.

I have lost all bookmarks. Manage Bookmarks does not help, selecting a restore from last 3 or 4 saved does not change anything. I am running Mac. I am frustrated. Please help.

I had to rebuild my Windows 10 laptop from scratch. I downloaded and installed Firefox, and I can browse and download, but my bookmarks aren't available--some other app is using a Firefox file. I've rebooted several times and even shut down and restarted from square one, and I still get the error message. I've tried to look at the troubleshooting data, but none of it is filled in--only the headings appear. I can't even restore from an HTML backup. How do I get the bookmarks back?

For some reason every time I try I get a black circle with a diagonal line symbol, indicating I cant do it, ive already tried in Troubleshoot aka Safe Mode, its the same! Ive even deleted xulstore.json, still the same, I have no idea whats causing it.

Hi - I've tried your solution many times and even thought Firefox says the import from Edge was successful, I don't see any imported bookmarks where you say they should be.

This button was one of my favorite things about the Firefox internal PDF viewer. It allowed me to quickly save a bookmark of where I am in a .pdf file. I went back and figured out this seems to have been removed in v106.0 when they added an edit feature.

Is there anywhere else in the application to save the bookmark to your exact location in a .pdf file?

Or is there a way to return this button to the application?

When I try to bookmark a page, I expect to see "Bookmark current tab" and when I click that, to be offered 1) to put it in the same place that the last bookmarked page was put 2) or, alternatively, to be given a choice of locations.

This is what happens on one of my two laptops.

On the other laptop, I am not offered a choice of locations. I am simply forced to bookmark the new page in the location where the previous bookmark that I made is, and I then have to go to "Edit This Bookmark" and move the new bookmark from the location where it currently sits, to the location that I want. This is clunky and inconvenient.

How can I configure this second laptop to behave like the other laptop?

I recently migrated from Chrome to Firefox on my Mac and successfully imported all data, bookmarks etc. However I cannot figure out how to ADD a new bookmark to an existing folder. Every page I read about bookmarking fails to show how this is done. In Chrome its simple since the drop down menu allows the user to view every folder, but in Firefox I don't see how to do this. Furthermore, when I go to Bookmarks>Manage bookmarks I don't see any of my folders..PLEASE show me an EASY way to do this. Thank you

My Bookmark list disappears regularly and I have to seek ways ro re-install in the left hand margin. Also finding various web sites (Banks etc) no longer work well with Firefox. So with much regret it is goodbye Firefox as soon as I can reocnfigure

Followed all the "how to" but it does not work . The section of old backup file "BOOK MARK Toolbar" and "other Bookmarks does not load with "import: or "select file says invalid file.

Hi - Here's my problem. I have a folder in my bookmarks titled Current Bookmarks. It contains both subfolders and bookmarks.

When I go to Manage Bookmarks, select that folder, and use the Views/Sort/Sort by Name.A-Z sort order, the subfolders aren't shown in alpha order. Any new subfolders I create end up at the bottom, listed after the page bookmarks.

Is there any way to get all the subfolders to sort properly?

My computer crashed 10 days ago- & my Firefox browser disappeared along with several on screen folders

When I started checking for a reason, the only thing I found, was that my C Drive was almost out of memory

When I re-loaded Firfow, 8 years of Research tabs/ bookmarks were gone... Can you help
