I logged out of my account on firefox and deleted all local data using the privacy settings, I then uninstalled Firefox (on my mac) and I was expecting my passwords to be removed.

I reinstalled firefox and the passwords were still there without me logging in to my account (sync). This is a big thing for me from a security perspective as it means the passwords to login were still left somewhere on my machine without my knowledge.

When you sign out of your account on firefox can you please make it incredibly obvious these are left somewhere and how to delete them / or even better make it default that they are removed from my machine during logout / removal of the app?

In FF, in the password utility, the entries are sorted by domain. That establishes that a domain sort is possible.

However, every export utility I have encountered, if it sorts at all, sorts by line.

One use I make of a printed copy is as a maintenance markup document. Some of my accounts - eg mozilla.org - have multiple access addresses in the same domain. A line sort scatters them, and I need to somehow collect them.

Would it be a big effort to output sorted by domain?

I HAVE SO MANY [expletive] PASSWORDS THAT ARE WRONG BECAUSE UR [expletive] BROWSER DOESNT ALLOW ME TO [expletive] MANUALLY CHANGE THAT STUPID OPTION. I use an independent password manager to store my passwords and prefer it over Firefox's because it has a highly customizable generator for creating new passwords. However whenever I am on a new site, Firefox pops up with a prompt to generate a secure new password (it appears as a drop-down from the item text box). My password manager also creates a pop up/drop down, but it is hidden behind Firefox's and I cannot access it. I need to be able to disable the secure password generator prompt. Please take a look at my excellently annotated screenshot, attached.

I want to change passwords that are saved in the Firefox Password Manager. By change, I mean change on the websites to where I have assigned a password (for security, to periodically change passwords is recommend). But, it seems like you need to remove an entry in the Firefox Password Manager and create a new account (and then create a new password through the Password Manager). I must be missing something. Is there a simple way to change a password?
