Starting a few days ago, the thumbnail images in Google Photos albums 'vanished' - see the screenshot. The same thing happened in a Chrome browser, but I upgraded to the latest Chrome version, and that fixed the problem with that browser. Waterfox is still compromised in this regard. (Per the second screen shot, the 'album covers' images are OK, and if you click on a 'blank' thumbnail in an album, the corresponding image loads.) Any clues here, folks? Thank you . . .

I've been getting a blank page that simply says "Forbidden" when I try to access the site.

I restarted browser in safe mode - no luck.

I checked with two other browsers on my laptop and my phone:- I can access the site through the latest versions of:

Chrome 71.0.3578.98 and Firefox 64.0.2

but not Waterfox 56.2.6.

I cleared my cache, cleared cookies, restarted browsers etc - no luck.

I restarted my laptop and turned off my router for a few minutes - no luck.

I checked with a couple of server up/down sites and haven't reported any problem recently.

I used tracert from the command prompt to get the IP address http://82.71.205.12/ - again no luck

I also tried via a US proxy - again no luck.

I looked at the webpage source to see if there was anything that seemed to indicate it was limiting access to certain browsers - there isn't - it's a very simple old school site - the owner confirmed there were no such restrictions and he was not aware of any access problems.

Is there anything else I can try? Any ideas?

Firefox 63.0...when shutting down cookies/storage is not being automatically removed. Further, when reviewing the Preferences page, trying to delete cookies from there does not work either.

However, clicking on "History" in the Menu bar and then removing history from there DOES work.

Clearly this is not right.

FYI, I have read many possible solutions and have found nothing that works. I have tried using a fresh Profile and have just done a complete uninstall/re-install and the problem still persists.

I would appreciate a solution to this but it looks like a "bug" to me.

This problem has been bothering me and friends for a long time. We keep hundreds of tabs open and this causes - depending on the viewed pages - very quickly high processor load with fans ramping up to max.

A temporary fix is to restart the browser with all tabs frequently - which also dramatically reduces RAM use. Because only the viewed tabs in each browser window are loaded initially, that quiets things down immediately - until more pages are opened in different tabs that use tremendous resources. Like Amazon, other shopping sites, probably some hidden miners (otherwise I often cannot fathom why it would use so much cpu).

I suggest an option for Firefox to halt/stop/suspend all tabs that are not currently selected for viewing. That is one tab per window. We have absolutely not the slightest need for any tab to do anything if it's not viewed.

In a pinch we sometimes suspend the whole firefox process via ProcessExplorer - but sometimes it doesn't resume and of course it also halts the foreground tabs. Restarting is not always possible due to pages with logins and other customizations that disappear on reload.

Whenever I go to a search page like google, the cursor goes to the side bar. This is in Waterfox. I had mentioned this before and was told you were going to fix it in the next update. Needless to say, it's still not fixed. Would much appreciate it. Thank you.
