I have a Logitech mouse. I've used it with both Brave and Chrome problem without problems highlighting text. But the highlight function doesn't work properly with the mouse in FF.

I can double click and highlight a paragraph. I can highlight a single word with no problem. But when I try to highlight a series of words or a full sentence, I can't. Either it highlights but when I try to Copy the highlight disappears. Or when I drag the mouse to highlight it won't highlight at all.

Since the issue only occurs in Firefox and not other browsers, there has to be something in Firefox that's causing this; or some conflict causing highlighting not to work.

I'd be grateful for any ideas how to fix this. It's driving me crazy.

I have "Open previous windows and tabs" checked in the settings, And have been using firefox in that manner for years, Like I would close the browser without thinking, And coming back to what i was working on. But today for some reason, I came back to all my tabs gone, And I openned multiple tabs and closed, And opened the browser again and there were no more tabs. (I know about ctrl+shift+N, But that is not automatic) Please help I really need this feature, As i don't like closing tabs!

I have just upgraded my desktop to Win11 and have an issue now with Firefox.

I have When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately checked, but when I open a bookmark or click on a link, the new tab opens, but FF does not switch to it immediately.

I've done a search here, but only find questions on how not to switch immediately. ;)

Version 120 (PC) continuously crashes and asks me to refresh and nothing happens (including after rebooting) so I had no choice to uninstall. I normally trust your updates but I'm really regretting this one. Can you help me not switch over to chrome? Maybe you're already aware of this bug and will have it fixed soon.

Title. I've followed every guide I've found but the issue still persists. I've created a new profile, reinstalled ff after deleting the whole file from my pc, deleted all cookies for a dozen times, disabled all extensions, started ff in that problem mode or whatever it's called and I still can't login to certain websites.

I type my login credentials, press "continue" and nothing happens.

I hate how much information Google gathers from their users but I used Chrome for five or more years and I never had this issue with their browser. Not once. Even now I constantly have to go back using Chrome because with it I have no issues logging in to the sites while on FF I just can't.

What is going on?

Hi, so here's the issue I have: Lets say you have 20 tabs open where the "tab scroller" becomes active and tab#17 has a video, if you enter & exit fullscreen on that tab then tabs #18-20 will slide to the right and go out of sight. This is quite annoying as I'd prefer all tabs on the right to be visible until I manually scroll to the left.

I tried googling for about:config or userChrome.css solutions but couldn't find anything, does anyone have any ideas on how to change this? Thanks.

It used to be that when I'd set browser.privatebrowsing.enable-new-indicator to false, that there would not be the text Private browsing next to the private browsing icon on the tab bar. But now, even though I have confirmed that the setting is still on false, the text is back, just where I don't want it.

What is going on, and what step can I take to change it back?

This is version 119.0.1 on 64-Bit Windows 10. Due to an abrupt Windows update requiring restart, this browser should have restored the previous session, which it didn't. Edge was open to; and it did that with no problem. At the moment the box requiring restart showed, the screen froze with no access to Firefox settings. Still, it should have restored the previous session as Edge did.

Whenever I open a local HTML file, Firefox tab will crash. This happens if the HTML file size is big (>4MB), smaller file doesn't crash.

I've tried opening the file on Chrome, it doesn't crash and open just fine. So it seems like this is a bug with Firefox.

As described in this thread (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1431159#answer-1618832), I had a problem accessing one particular domain after doing everything I could find to fix it. Setting DNS to Increased Protection fixed it. It's partly just curiosity but also concern that I'm asking if there is an issue that should be addressed.

The basic scenario: could not access one particular domain only in FF on one computer. No problems with FF on other devices and no problem with other browsers on the computer in question. Configuring DNS settings to Increased Protection is the only thing that allowed me to access that site (which happens to be the org I work for). So the setting is only necessary on this device and only for that domain.

What's the explanation or solution for ensuring I don't have other DNS issues, or something else, that will be a problem later?

Hello, On 18th Oct this year, blogger would not let me upload picture files from my computer - it gives the message 'Allow google.com to use cookies - you will not be able to access your files if necessary cookies are turned off'. I click Accept but nothing happens, so I click close and the window goes away without solving the problem. Uploading and publishing blogs with images was working with no problem two days earlier. I was still logged into my gmail account and had not made any changes. This is what I have tried. 1 - Switched off enhanced tracking protection for this site, as suggested by Firefox. It allowed me to upload 1 image into a draft post but this had disappeared the next time I opened the draft. Since then I have been getting the error message and not been able to upload images. 2 - cleared the cookies from google, as suggested by firefox. No effect 3 - cleared the cache and site data as suggested. No effect. I followed this with closing Firefox and reloading, logging back in to gmail, and still the problem persists. I get some crash reports *occasionally* - meaning not all crashes produce a crash report - but I'm not sure what to do with them, they seem inconclusive. Lately i found strange bug in FF 119.0 (ppa - deb, not snap version), ubuntu 23.10 I can't download any file to mounted ntfs volume. Firefox instead creates thousands of empty files. Once it was 10001 or 10003 other time it was 20000 of files. I tried private-window, no change. I have removed all add-ons - no change.

For example i was trying to download https://fedorapeople.org/groups/virt/virtio-win/direct-downloads/stable-virtio/virtio-win.iso and i ended with (only few last lines):

When I open Vivaldi browser, the link in the address bar is highlighted right away. That's not the case in Firefox. Here I to either need triple click or use "CTRL A" The same is true when I open a new tab.

Is there a way to do that in Firefox?

Every time I try to login to my bank using Firefox New Private Window I get a message "Unable to login. Try again later." But if I then switch to Microsoft Edge browser using its private window I have no problem, no delay, in logging in. It has occurred to me that Edge is deliberately blocking or somehow delaying my login attempt with Firefox. Could this be?
