Files downloaded to a shared folder on a Windows Domain network are not saved correctly. They always are slightly smaller than they should be. In the same Firefox session, the same file downloads correctly and is the correct size when saved to a local drive. Downloading the same file with either Internet Explorer 8 or Google Chrome results in a correctly sized, complete download.

This problem occurs on my machine (Win7 64-bit) and on the server (Win Server 2008 R2)
