Why does Firefox automatically log me out of my Firefox account and erase my addons and settings every time I restart my Mac?

Every time on my Mac, I have to log in again, re-install my addons and re-do my settings. Why?

This doesn't happen with Firefox on my Windows. I can restart Windows and every time I am still logged into Firefox, plus my addons and settings are still there. Can anyone tell me why this could be happening? Is there a setting I can change to stay logged in on my Mac? I have looked through the settings and can't find anything...It's not a huge deal but it is getting annoying and time consuming to have to set everything up again every time I want to use Firefox on my Mac.
