I'm not aware of a way to exclude tags or otherwise specify selectors apart from the search terms. If you search in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) then you can sort the results by the Tags column (click the Tags column header). That might make it easier to skip these results.

A WebExtension can't access Tags, so it isn't possible to create an extension with this feature.
