Everytime I open Thunderbird, it opens the program twice (ie into 2 identical windows), started approx 3 weeks ago, how to fix?

Weird, I click on the Thunderbird icon, and the program opens twice (identical), into two identical windows (like 2 on the taskbar), but if I close one of them, both close and the program shuts down. How can I fix this?

Close them with alt+f4 and see if this persists.
