I keeep losing my default browser.

I have to reset Firefox/Mozilla as my default browser every time I leave the browser and return. Each time I set it as my default browser, but I have to do it again and again. This is a new occurrence, as I have never had to do this until the last few weeks.

I really need some quality advice and will sincerely appreciate it if someone can guide me, because my head is spinning.
