I was able to get into it by going to about:preferences#privacy and going to the Cookies and Site Data section and clicking on Manage Data and then removing mercy.net from the list before trying to log in.
I could then type mercy.net into the address bar, then click the Sign In button. This allows me to login to the site after a few redirects. Then click menu button on the top-left and select My Mercy Account which should take you where you want to be.
In order to log back in after restarting the browser or something, I have to do the same process to keep from going to the loop of just showing the login prompt each time.
It's kind of nuts but this workaround seems to work.
Seems like a lot of rigamarole just to get some blood lab results, or whatever Mercy is emailing to me. Is somebody there at Mozilla looking into an easier solution fix? Why is there such hassle with MyMercy and a log in to them?
Yes, it's been reported. They seem to be doing something wrong after accessing their site, as only the first visit works: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1579680#answer-1819384
(Since getting in needs a special access, it's hard to investigate.)
Yeah.. today, couldn't get into the site doing the above process. I ended up using my Amazon Fire Tablet to get in to see if my lab results were in. Little annoying.
If anyone's able to help figure out what's going on with the site when this happens, please chime in under the webcompat report: https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/221539
Mercy.net doesn't allow making accounts without being a patient of theirs first. So this might need assistance from someone with the credentials already.
I assume the older MyMercy address https://www.mymercy.net/login is now just https://www.mercy.net/app/login and it's the same app. Some people also mentioned MyChart app (which is a global platform provided by Epic Health Systems), is that related to this, or that's a separate or previous system of theirs that's not necessarily connected to this login issue?
Given account creation is tied to e.g. SSN there's not much that can be about this. If a current customer gets in touch with them about the issue, please point them toward this thread or the webcompat report above in case their IT folks wanted to reach out and provide e.g. access to non–production environment and some testing credentials to verify the issue. Thanks.
Well, I also have a MyChart account as the OU Health System uses that. I have no problems using that site. The interface does look a bit similar (looking at test results, doctor visits, etc).. but the login process has a separate (not on the same dialog) username entry and then a password entry so that's different.
Thanks for the webcompat link. I'll do some testing later and add some info there also.
